Tour Details & Highlights

The Black River Safari Tour takes place on the wetlands of St. Elizabeth, Jamaicas Garden Parish, the main source of fruits and vegetables to the hotels in Jamaica. This lush area is home to many of Jamaica"s indeginous flora and fauna and provides for a rich and memorable experience.

You will board your boat with the Captain and the Guide who will provide detailed information about the plants and animals around you.
You will enjoy the opportunity to see many of these up close and personal and you traverse Jamaica"s longest river. This famous river- Black River was once popularly used for Jamaican exports back in the 1800"s. It is for this reason that the Town of Black River was one of the first in this side of the hemisphere to have electricity and telegraph. These utilities were in Black River long before they were implemented in New York City.
Your journey along the Black River will continue as you search for and find Alligators and Crocodiles. Your own sense of adventure will determine how close you get to these animals
