Take a deep dive into Jamaica’s history with this tour of the Rose Hall Great House and gardens. Buy your tickets for this popular tour ahead of time to avoid sold-out days and vacation disappointment. Tours run throughout the day and will enlighten travelers about the colonial history of the Caribbean, the native flora and fauna in the gardens, and the ghostly tale of resident Annee Palmer, the White Witch of Rose Hall.
What to Expect
The experience immediately begins as guests arrive at the Rose Hall Great House to the sound of African drumming. Once greeted, guests are introduced to their Guide who then shares the enchanting history of this renovated plantation Great House and the legend of Annee Palmer.  There is a small pause on the approach to the house for the property photographers to take pictures of guests posing in front of the house. Tour includes a walk-through of each room of the house with background information on the antiques as well as descriptions of plantation lifestyle. The legend of Annee Palmer killing her 3 husbands comes alive. Guests are then taken to the dungeon and offered ‘Witches Brew’, a potent rum cocktail sold exclusively at the Rose Hall Great House Bar. After a short walk to Annee’s Grave, the tour guide escorts the guest to Annee’s Treasures which houses delightful trinkets and memorabilia of the tour and the island’s heritage.
